Guided Tour No. 2# with actor Michael Sheen

Yesterday, actor Michael Sheen came to Hollywood. Normally, Hollywood goes wherever Michael goes, but yesterday we met at Café Remo’s on Aberavon Beach a stone’s throw from its own Hollywood Park.

Hot foot from winning a Bafta Cymru Best Actor award for his performance in The Gospel of Us, Michael (accompanied by his lovely PA Nat) came to meet young actor Luke Bridgeman. Luke had been nominated by The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to go on the walk. Having been asked to choose a location that meant the most to him, Michael unsurprisingly chose an initial meeting point close to the beach where his extraordinary three-day National Theatre Wales Passion began.

Michael talks a little about how important the intersection between his hometown, his work and his involvement with the community of the area has become here…

Michael Sheen talks about why he chose the route of the Passion in Port Talbot for the location of his walk with Luke.

Having graduated a couple of months ago, Luke is currently appearing in a hit show at Theatre 503 called Land of Our Fathers and appeared in NTW’s Provincial Life directed by Peter Gill while still a student.
